Trendulkar

Apoorv Sood, a former Navy man and the name behind the beloved Trendulkar handle, is proof that a single moment of inspiration can build something that outlasts the original context by years. The account was born at the intersection of a Cricket World Cup and the Trending hashtag on Twitter, Apoorv began live-tweeting matches with one-liners, and the response was immediate and enthusiastic. The habit stuck, and so did the audience. While the name is a playful nod to a certain batting legend, the account is entirely its own thing: sports-driven, yes, but with a consistent thread of self-deprecating humour, he frequently describes himself as “Forever Alone”, and a curiosity that extends well beyond the boundary. Books, films, cars, travel, he tweets about all of it with the same sharpness and wit he brings to cricket. Sachin may have retired, but Trendulkar shows absolutely no signs of leaving the feed anytime soon, and his audience could not be happier about it.
